GRAND THEFT AUTO IV The Lost and Damned – Available February 17, 2009

Grand Theft Auto 4: The Lost and Damned

I have no love loss for PS3 and other popular gaming platforms, but Grand Theft Auto’s latest franchise installment will be exclusively available to Microsoft’s Xbox 360 worldwide on February 17, 2009. The game is an add on to the commercial success from developer/publisher Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto IV released in April 2008. Grand Theft Auto: a franchise that has continued to push the envelope and raise the bar in the action gaming genre, is a veteran. And I cannot wait! To purchase the first episode of GTA IV The Lost and Damned, it will cost 1600 Microsoft points ($20) for the new downloadable content from your Xbox Live account. My friends, Microsoft is running things. How you like them apples? Get it? But it’s all in good fun tho.

Here’s some of the features of GTA IV The Lost and Damned:

-All-new missions and a new storyline that interweaves with the original story arc of Grand Theft Auto IV.
-Play as Johnny, a member of The Lost Motorcycle Club. Experience Liberty City now with the perspective and lifestyle of a member of a biker gang.
-Added range of weapons – including the all-new grenade launcher and sawed-off shotgun. New weapons will be available for use in single-player and in all new multiplayer modes.
-New vehicles – featuring a collection of bikes that include Johnny’s own customized heavy-duty chopper.
-New and improved bike handling and physics.
-Set of new action-packed multiplayer modes – details coming soon.
-All-new in-game TV, internet and radio content featuring new radio shows and original music. –

This will be the first downloadable episode of others to come. And it’s looking promising. Afterall, it’s Grand Theft Auto.11354_497a148cef6d0_thumbnail211354_497a148f47648_thumbnail239633_thumb511452_4995e35332fce_thumbnail2

Chris Brown & Rihanna – The Plot Thickens…

By now, everyone has heard of the fighting and biting that took place between the two, causing the cancellation of both Grammy appearances from the singers. Since then the rumors started to fly. The one about Chris letting Rihanna have it for giving him a STD or AIDS!!! Now, we’re hearing that at an earlier event, Rihanna saw him flirting with singer Leona Lewis. Later on, just minutes before the fight, Chris apparently receives a text from a mystery girl? Then the infamous punch up ensued.

Rihanna & Chris Brown

And suddenly, it sucks to be Chris Brown. I mean if everything that has taken place is true. Not to mention the domestic battery charge he’ll be facing. But did he really handle Rihanna like a wrestler and bruise her pretty face, with complimentary bite marks? It’s reported that Wrigleys, Milk and radio stations are taking back the love from Chris. Sources are even saying that Jigga Man himself is furious. “Chris is a walking dead man. He messed with the wrong crew.” Dayuum! Well, that can’t be good.

Chris turned to facebook and posted an update with the following, “You’ll begin to see her true colours. Believe it!” No doubt, referring to Rihanna. And then the ultimate slap in the face. He

changed his relationship status to ‘single’. Whoa!

Either way, I take no sides, but instead sympathy for both. Rihanna, get well and Chris Brown, chin up. A simple lesson in being mindful of your actions and temper. What do you think? Share your thoughts and comments. By Natalie Rose

Confessions of a Shopaholic in Theaters Today

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Yes, ladies and some gentlemen, the movie hits theaters today. Almost reminiscent to when Sex and the City came out, but this one is based on the novel by Sophia Kinsella.

The movie starring Isla Fisher as Becky Bloomwood plays the sweet and likable character that women have grown to know and love from the book. The rest of the cast includes Joan Cusack, John Goodman, John Lithgow and Kristin Scott Thomas which should make for an interesting movie, but it’s already getting some mixed reviews. After watching the trailer of the movie, viewers were surprised to know that they axed the British accent speaking character and instead made her full American. Some viewers weren’t really feeling Isla Fisher for the role of the shopaholic.

What do you think? Will the character’s new nationality or the actress herself mess up the movie for you? Or will you prefer the movie over the book? Share your thoughts and comments. Who knows maybe after seeing Shopaholic might summon the inner shopaholic within us and hopefully revive the economy. Just a thought.By Natalie Rose
