Jay-Z Responds To Chris Brown Rumour And The Game

In a recent interview with Tim Westwood, Jay-Z talks about Chris Brown’s public apology and sets it straight that he did not stop Chris Brown from performing at the BET Awards.  He also talks about the mentioning of The Game in a performance.

Chris Brown’s Apology
“We Are all flawed human beings. All a person can do is apologize. Everyone should be allowed to make mistakes. It happens”

Blocking Chris Brown From BET Performance
That’s the silliest rumor I’ve ever heard. First let me categorically deny that, that’s not even my style. If I have a problem with Chris brown, I have a problem with Chris Brown. I haven’t said anything live or behind the scenes. I don’t agree with what he did and that’s it. But as far as not letting him perform on BET, that’s ridiculous, that’s stupid and that’s a sucker move. I wouldn’t do it. And people commenting on rumors, that’s a sucker move.

Mentioning The Game’s Name in Performance
“Tell me exactly what I said….(Tim: you mentioned his name, Jim Jones’ name, Dame Dash’s name…) I said I’m not talking about, this, this. I’m not…Is that a diss? If I said I’m not talking about you? “Oh, you hurt my feelings”.? Tell groupie to get over it! If that’s a diss, then wear that. Tell groupie to get over it.”

There had also been some talk that major sponsor Cover Girl threatened to pull out if Chris Brown were to perform at the BET Awards.  We saw how that turned out.
