Gilbert Arenas Puts Away The Arms & Bares His Chest/Suspension Update

In case you missed the latest happenings on Gilbert Arenas’ woes and new Peta Ad, NBA commissioner David Stern suspended Arenas indefinitely without pay.  Arenas was recently photographed on Tuesday pointing his index fingers in the form of guns at teammates during a pre-game.  Not a good thing  to do considering he was already under investigation by authorities for bring guns into the locker room.

David Stern, felt that Arenas’ behavior made him “not currently fit to take the court.”  Stern warned Arenas that his actions will “ultimately result in a substantial suspension, and perhaps worse.”

Originally Arenas said that he brought the four guns to the Verizon Center because he wanted to keep his home safe after his daughter was born.  But two NBA officials told The Associated Press that the incident was about a dispute over card-playing gambling debts involving Arenas and Crittenton which ended in the pulling of the guns.

Arenas said he took out the unloaded guns from his locker in a “misguided effort to play a joke” on a teammate.  He added:

“Joke or not, I now recognize that what I did was a mistake and was wrong,” Arenas said. “I should not have brought the guns to DC in the first place, and I now realize that there’s no such thing as joking around when it comes to guns — even if unloaded.”

So to conclude this story for now guns suck.  Take it from Gilbert Arenas.

Gilbert Arenas Speaks On His Pistol Packin Action

Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas spoke up about the drawing of the guns with teammate Javaris Crittenton.  “It was bad judgment, having the weapons here,” Arenas said. “It was bad judgment, and I’ll deal with that.”

Arenas claims he stored unloaded firearms in his locker to keep them away from his newborn child and believed it was better than just throwing them away.  Upon meeting with law enforcement on Monday, Arenas issued this statement:

“I am very sorry for the effect that my serious lapse in judgment has had on my team, my teammates, the National Basketball Association and its fans. I want to apologize to everybody for letting them down with my conduct, and I promise to do better in the future.”

Arenas is facing suspension and assault with carrying a pistol without a license charges.  So where does Javaris fit in all this?  Thoughts?

Chris Henry’s Fiance Speaks Out On His Death/Funeral Coverage

Chris Henry’s fiance Loleini (Leini) Tonga was interviewed by ESPN recently where she broke her silence and spoke about his death.  I dunno ppl…  There still seems to be a lot of unanswered questions about what took place that night.  How come no one talked about Chris’ arm being in a sling or cast that night?  And if not, why did a witness report that initially?  Plus nothing seems to make any sense.  Thoughts?  In case you missed it, check out the funeral coverage below:
